Brief Trip Description

The journey begins from the valley as we tour the UNESCO world heritages spread throughout the region. Enjoying the cultural and historical sites, we make the journey heading towards Chitwan National Park. Through the stunning natural landscapes, we head away from the valley taking on the winding roads of Prithvi Highway.

As the Trishuli River joins us for the remainder of our journey, we resume the gradual descent to the flatlands of Terai to arrive at Chitwan. The next day kicks off our wildlife adventure beginning with a lovely jungle safari. On the excursion around the national park, sights of a wide variety of wildlife in their natural habitat will greet you. Home to around 68 mammal species and over 500 species of birds there is not a dull moment in the journey.

The next day takes us to the Tharu Museum. Here, we get to witness the enchanting culture and history of the Tharu community. Our time here ends with a lovely cultural display of local dance. We head back to the valley enjoying the pleasant hilly landscapes en route. Thus, the journey officially comes to a close. The Chitwan National Park Tour can be done throughout the year. Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival

After landing at Tribhuvan International Airport our representatives will meet up with you just outside the arrival lounge. He/she will then take you to your hotel. After freshening up from the day’s journey you will be introduced with the guides and other members of the staff who will give you a short overview on the entire journey. Wrapping up the activities of the day you are free to head down to the local streets. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sight Seeing

The day begins early as we head into the valley touring the UNESCO world heritage sites. The day kicks off from the tranquil hill north of Kathmandu, bode to the Swayambhunath stupa. Enjoying the stunning views of the valley the journey takes us down towards the holy temple of Pashupatinath where thousands of pilgrims come each day to receive blessings. For a bit of history and culture we head towards the Kathmandu Durbar Square before turning to Boudhanath for stunning views of the sunset. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Kathmandu Sightseeing

Continuing our UNESCO world heritage tour today we head to the other side of valley. The cultural city of Bhaktapur decorated by temples, art and architecture which reflects the ancient way of life. The journey takes us to the old Royal palace of Bhaktapur which houses some of the most frequented attractions including 55 windowed palace, Vatsala Temple, Nyatapola Temple, Bhairabnath Temple and several other pieces of ancient art. We also make a stop at the Changunarayan Temple which is one of the most ancient temples build in the homage to Lord Vishnu. Overnight in Kathmandu

Day 04: Drive to Chitwan National park

After a lovely breakfast, we head out of the valley kicking off our journey towards the Chitwan National Park. The drive which takes about 5 hours takes us through lush hilly landscape as we make our way out of the hills towards the winding bends of Prithvi Highway. Midway through the journey, we find the rushing Trishuli River which adds to the pleasant experience. The journey takes us to the heart of the city of Chitwan as we head towards Chitwan National Park. Overnight in Chitwan.

Day 05: Chitwan National Park Excursion and Jungle Safari

The beginning of our wildlife adventure, today, we make our way deeper into the park to witness the true beauty of wildlife. With several activities like Elephant Safari, Jeep Safari, and many more the day is sure to be fun filled one. Make sure to keep an eye out for the one-horned rhinos and the Royal Bengal Tiger. More than 500 species of vibrant birds adorn the skyline and the entire experience feels surreal. Overnight in Chitwan.

Day 06: Chitwan National Park Excursion

Picking up where we left off, we make our way deeper into the forest to relish the diverse cast of wildlife inhabiting the region. We also visit the Elephant Breeding Center before making our way towards the banks of Rapti River. The home of the Gharials is rarely boring and the canoe rides are as thrilling as pleasant. We also head to the local Tharu Village taking a closer look towards the culture of the Tharu tribe. The day ends with a lovely cultural program as we familiarize ourselves with the ethnic dances of the locals. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 07: Drive Back to Kathmandu

With a lovely wildlife adventure at our backs today we make our journey back to Kathmandu. Finding the rapids of Trishuli, we continue the pleasant journey back to Kathmandu. Once Prithvi Highway leaves us at the gateway to the valley, we make our way directly to the hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 08: Departure

After a lovely breakfast our representatives will drive you directly back to Tribhuvan International Airport just in time for your flight back home. We hope you had a lovely time with us and we look forwards to seeing you again.
