The hike to Champadevi begins from Kathmandu and, a short drive later, you will reach the starting point of the hike. The hike gradually picks up the pace and explores the lush forests before making way deep into the heart of the trails. The deeper the trails go, the more you are in the company of various flora and fauna.

The short and easy hike to Champadevi is not only exciting but also adventurous, as you have to walk through the pine forest on a well-developed trail while enjoying the natural scenery. You’ll meet many new people from different cultures and religions while walking, but people in this region are mostly Hindus and Buddhists. Finally, after a few hours, you reach the Champadevi hilltop.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Hike Start

AM: Early Morning Drive to Pharping from Thamel |1.5 Hr
This short journey starts at Kathmandu from where you drive to Pharping on an hour-long ride. Pharping lies on the way to Dakshin Kali, a famous Hindu temple. After reaching there, the hike starts and leads you to the top of Champadevi.

AM: Hike to Champadevi Top |5-6 Hrs
You require around 5 to 6 hours of the uphill climb to reach the hilltop. Upon reaching the top, you can explore the Hindu and Buddhist shrines and enjoy the breath-taking landscapes from the top.

PM: Champadevi Top to Puspalal Park |4-5 Hrs
From the Champadevi Hill Top, you follow a descending trail to Puspalal Park, Machhegaoun. From here, you get on a vehicle and head back to the Thamel.
