Shivapuri Hiking starts off early in the morning with a 30-minute ride to Nagi Gumba. At the Gumba, we obtain a permit to enter the Shivapuri National Park. During the permit process, you can utilize your time by exploring the beautiful architecture of the monastery.

The hiking starts from the government protected area, the Shivapuri National Park. The national park is home to more than 500 species of animals. With fresh air, the chirping of birds, and squeaks of a diverse range of wildlife, the hike continues along the tranquil rhododendron forests.

The Shivapuri Hill at an elevation of 2732 meters offers clear panoramic views of the Langtang range. You can explore the panoramic views of the Himalayas and glorious landscapes from the hilltop to your heart’s content. Later, you return along the same route and reach the Nagi Gumba. A drive from the monastery leads you to Kathmandu.
