Firstly, the Ghorepani Poonhill Short Trek begins with a flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. A short drive of 3 hours takes you to Ulleri. The actual trek begins at a local place called Ulleri. Next, you trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani.

The village offers an interesting take on Magar and Gurung culture. From here, the trek to Poonhill begins early in the morning. The highest viewpoint is famous for the sceneries of the Annapurna range. After exploring Poonhill and being blown away by its beauty, you descend back to Ulleri. From Ulleri, you return to Nayapul and conclude with a drive to Pokhara.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu| 1300m

Today, you will arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport located in Kathmandu, Nepal. Our representative will be there to pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. For the rest of the day, you can stay at the hotel or prepare for the trek. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Fly to Pokhara and Drive to Ulleri| 1960m |3 Hrs, Trek to Ghorepani| 2880 |4 Hrs

The early morning commences with a short flight that takes you to Pokhara. The flight lasts 25 minutes and shows the beauty of the Himalayas in Ganesh, Manaslu, and Annapurna range. Once we arrive in Pokhara, our guide will meet you. Complete the legal formalities and get on a private vehicle that takes you towards Ulleri. The actual trek starts from Ulleri as we navigate towards Ghorepani. You need to climb a lot of stairs as you trek through large rhododendron forests. Overnight in Ghorepani.

Day 3: Early Morning Poonhill Hike | 3210m, Trek back to Ulleri |3 Hrs, Drive back to Pokhara | 820m |3 Hrs

Today, we proceed towards the major landmark of this trek which is the beautiful vantage point of Poonhill. To reach here, we start the hike very early in the morning and navigate through stone steps and rocky ridges to reach the summit of this hill. This is a beautiful place to observe amazing views of snowy mountains like Machhapuchhre (6997m), Annapurna (8091m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Tukuche (6920m), and Nilgiri (7061m). After observing the mountains, we head back to Ghorepani and trek back Ulleri again. Board or a public bus or hire a private one that leads to Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 4: Fly Back to Kathmandu and Departure

Today is the last day of this Ghorepani Poonhill short trek. A short flight will take us back to Kathmandu first and from there, you will board another flight that leads to your home. Goodbye and Thanks.
