Getting There
The 11-day Annapurna Base Camp Trek begins with your arrival in the capital city of Kathmandu. From Kathmandu, you drive to Pokhara and then to Siwar, the starting point of the trek. The trek advances slowly through the ethnic Gurung settlements and takes you past waterfalls, farmlands, rhododendron forests, and various flora and fauna. The route takes you through the villages of Chhomrong and Sinuwa to reach Bamboo.
The glorious Annapurna Conservation Area makes the rigorous walks entertaining with a bountiful of sightings of wildlife. From Bamboo, a trail through the bamboo forest leads you to Hinku Cave. Thereon, a slight ascent to Deurali makes way for the climb to the Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m). After exploring the base camp vicinity, you proceed towards the Annapurna Base Camp (4130m).
The base camp is a vintage viewpoint to see the panoramic views of the mountains such as Machhapuchhre (6997m), Gangapurna (7454m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Nilgiri (7061m), and the Annapurna Massif. On the way back, you descend to Jhinu Danda and enjoy the natural hot springs there. This trek can be done any time of the year, but it is better to avoid the monsoon season, making the trail slippery and blocking the mountain views. March – June & Sept-Dec is most suitable as the temperature is moderate and the skies are clear.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m) and transfer to hotel.
The trip starts with your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). Our company representative will welcome you at the airport. Following with a drive to your hotel, you can head to the nearest attractions within the city and spend the rest of the day. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Drive to Pokhara (820m) by Tourist bus, 7 hours' drive (Option: private transport or domestic flight)
On the 2nd day, you head to Pokhara. You have the option to either drive or fly to Pokhara. If you choose to fly, you get more time to explore the city. In Pokhara, you can head to the famous destinations like the Phewa Lake, Mahendra Cave, Davis Falls, Bat Cave, and the International Mountaineering Museum. Similarly, the drive to Pokhara allows scenic views of the lush green hills and a pleasurable ride alongside the rushing Trishuli River. Overnight in Pokhara.
Day 03: Drive to Siwar by bus and trek to Chhomrong (2,170m), and 2 hours' drive and 5 hours walk.
Beginning the day with a drive heading out of the Pokhara Valley, you drive directly to Siwar. Heading north from Birethanti, you pass drive along the Modi River and cross Siuli to reach Siwar. Your trek guides will guide you from Siwar to Chhomrong, a beautiful Gurung village which will be your destination for today. The trail is quiet easy and provides views of the Annapurna massif as you trek ahead. Overnight in Chhomrong.
Day 04: Trek to Bamboo (2,310m) Walking 6 hours.
You trek down Chhomrong Khola and climb up to Sinuwa. From here, the trail enters a steep trail towards Annapurna sanctuary. Covering the walks through the forests of rhododendron and bamboo, the trek makes way to Khuldighar. On this route, you will be blessed with the views of Annapurna South (7,219m) and Fishtail (6,997m). Hereon, you climb down to Modi River and make your way to Bamboo. Overnight in Bamboo.
Day 05: Trek to Deurali (3,230m) Walking 5 hours.
From Deurali, you climb to Dovan and walk ahead to reach the Himalaya Hotel. You climb steadily up to Hinku cave and then follow the descending trail to big snow patches. You cross these patches and a river before making a final climb to reach Deurali. The trek also passes Hinku Cave on the way where you can make a short detour to explore the cave premises. Overnight in Deurali.
Day 06: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m). Walking 4/5 hours.
Today, you trek to the Annapurna Base Camp. From Deurali, it’s a complete ascent till Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m). The base camp is known to be a stop for trekkers and travelers en route to the ABC and grants an enticing view of the Mt. Machhapuchhre (6997m). From here onwards, the Annapurna Sanctuary area starts and the trail goes uphill on the grassy slopes and continues to rise till the Annapurna Base Camp. From the camp, you can see up close views of the Annapurna Himalayas including the majestic Mt. Annapurna I (8091m), the tenth highest mountain in the world. Overnight in Annapurna Base Camp.
Day 07: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2,335m). Walking 6 hours
Leaving the base camp behind, you retrace your steps back to Bamboo. You descend on a fairly easy trail with the beautiful views of the Himalayas on the back drop. Along the way, the trail crosses Machhapuchhre Base Camp and Deurali to reach Himalaya. Hereon, you continue on a descending trail to arrive at Dovan. Overnight in Dovan.
Day 08: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1,780m), walking 6 hours.
You follow the same trail that you took to climb up till Chhomrong. After the Chhomrong village, the trail takes you through a series of stones steps to Jhinu Danda. The trek on this day follows the Modi and Chhomrong rivers on most of the occasions before settling at Jhinu Danda. The hot springs of Jhinu will help you relax and recover strength. Overnight in Jhinu Danda.
Day 09: Trek to Siwar and drive back to Pokhara (820m), 5 hours walk and 2.30 hours' drive.
From Jhinu Danda, you hike down to Siwar and traverse along the Modi river coast to reach Nayapul. A private vehicle will pick you up at Nayapul and drive you back to Pokhara. In the evening, you stroll around the lakeside area and get a feel of the unique city life of Pokhara. Boating on the Phewa Lake also grants memorable experience as you row in the shadows of the Mt. Machhapuchhre (6997m). Overnight in Pokhara.
Day 10: Drive to Kathmandu (1,300m) by Tourist Bus 7 hours (Option: private transport or domestic flight)
You can either take an early morning flight or afternoon bus to Kathmandu. Either way, you can get to relish the sights of the Himalayas and the unique geographical variation of Nepal. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you can head out for some souvenir shopping. You can also savor authentic Nepali dishes as you near the end of your stay in the country. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 11: Transfer to airport for final departure
