This trek takes you through the amazingly diverse and vibrant landscape and topography of the Everest region. You can explore the rich Sherpa culture and spectacular Himalayan ranges. The trek takes you through the deep river valleys and across glacial rivers along the Dudh Koshi. About the route of Everest Base Camp Luxury Lodge trek

Everest Base Camp Luxury Lodge Trek starts from the exciting flight from Kathmandu to Lukla where you will see the mesmerizing view of mountains and hills. But before the flight, we will have a full day sightseeing of various places of Kathmandu valley on a private vehicle. After landing in Lukla we will have a trek to Phakding and the following day to a famous Sherpa village, Namche Bazaar which is a central hub of business for the Sherpa.

The trail takes you through the forest of Rhododendron and magnolia to reach Namche Bazaar inside the Sagarmatha National Park. we will trek along the Dudh Koshi with the marvelous views of mountains. We will also visit the Tengboche Monastery, the most sacred and spiritual monastery of the region. Kalapatthar hike offers picturesque views of sunrise views of the world’s highest mountain ‘Mount Everest’ and many other mountains like Purima, Nuptse, Lhotse, Lingren, and many more. Then the trek ends in Lukla with the same route.

Best Time For Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek

Trekking in the Khumbu region is unpredictable; it can be changed with a blink of eyes. There it is necessary to trek in the favorable seasons after knowing the weather to minimize the risk and challenges. The best time to have an EBC Luxury Lodge trek is the spring and autumn seasons which are March to May and September to November respectively. Autumn

Autumn is considered the best season to trek in EBC luxury Lodge. And it is the most famous season for trekking, climbing and exploring Nepal. This season provides the majestic view of mountains and landscapes. The temperatures during this season are moderate and really favorable for trekking and climbing. Autumn is the highest peak season for traveling in Nepal so you need to book the flight and hotel accommodation in advance.

Summer

Traveling or trekking in Nepal is not a good idea. Since it is a monsoon season that results in slippery trails and damage routes. Similarly, you won’t see a clear view of mountains and hills due to clouds and fog.

Spring

Spring season is another best season for trekking in EBC luxury Lodge. In this season, the weather will be clear and the temperature is warm and moderated. You will have a beautiful surrounding environment. The wood in this season is covered by Rhododendrons and pines. The clear blue sky provides spectacular views of mountains.

Winter

Trekking the Himalayas in winter, it itself sounds challenging and difficult. However, with well-prepared exercise, equipment, and strong determination you can conquer the trek successfully. But you also need to be mentally calm and determined.

Difficulty level of EBC Luxury Lodge trek

Trekking the EBC Luxury Lodge is moderately difficult and anyone with average health can do this trek successfully. The difficulty level depends upon the season of the trek, the time of the whole trek, walking hours a day, and the day of acclimatization.

We will trek along the rocky and rugged trails for about 7 to 8 days. With good physical as well as mental fitness, you can do this trek. You can do the trekking course a week before the trek in Kathmandu to be used with equipment and you can do some exercise, jogging, and swimming to increase the stamina which helps to overcome the possible difficulty.

Highest point of the trek

On the Everest Base Camp Luxury trek, we will be trekking up to the most famous vantage point of the Everest region, Kala Patthar which stands at an altitude of 5643m above sea level. Here you can see the 360-degree panoramic views of majestic mountains including the highest peak of the world, Mount Everest. You can also have mesmerizing views of mountains during the sunrise and sunset where you have an incredible golden mountain view.

Detailed Itinerary

Day01: Kathmandu (1,300m)

After landing at Tribhuvan International Airport you will be welcomed by our office representatives who will drive you to the hotel. After freshening up from the day’s journey you will be introduced to the guides and other members of the staff who will proceed to brief you on the trek. Once the activities for the day are brought to an end you are free to head down to the local region enjoying the lovely evening. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day02: 02: Kathmandu – Lukla (2,840m) – Phakding (2,610m)

The day begins early as we make our way to Lukla which houses one of the most thrilling airstrips you will land on. The 45 minute flight is a pleasant one taking us to the home of the Himalayas the snowy summits shining from up above. After a brief rest at Lukla, we begin our journey along the Dudh Koshi River. Enjoying the fresh Himalayan air the journey takes us towards Chheplung village continuing north towards Phakding. Overnight in Phakding.

Day03: Phakding (2,610m) – Namche Bazar (3,440m)

The journey is a pleasant one as we head towards Namche Bazaar. The trail leading out of Phakding takes on the lush green forests adorned with pine and cedar trees moving through vibrant hamlets including Monjo and Jorsalle. Monjo also marks our entry into the Sagarmatha National Park as we ascend through the hilly trail reaching Namche in time to witness stunning views of Thamserku (6,608m) and Kongde Ri (6,187m). Overnight in Namche.

Day04: Namche Bazar (3,440m)

Today, we take a day off at Namche Bazaar to let our bodies acclimatize with the increasing altitude. Namche boasts a host of possible destinations beginning with the hamlets of Khumjung and Khunde towards the north. The hamlet of Khumjung hosts the Yeti Skull Monastery which is believed to house the skull of a real life yet. Another popular alternative in the Everest region is to trek to Everest View Hotel. The hotel and its premise offer a panoramic display of the Himalayas including the Mt. Everest (8848m) on a day with clear skies. Overnight in Namche.

Day05: Namche Bazar (3,440m) – Debuche (3,820m)

Climbing out of Namche, the trail opens up alongside the valley leading towards Phunki Thanga. Following the Dudh Koshi River along its right bank, the journey takes a steep ascend towards Tengboche. Enjoying the stunning views of Ama Dablam on the horizon (6,856m) we take a brief rest at Tengboche. Visiting the Tengboche Monastery, the oldest monastery of the region, is also a brilliant option. Another hour of trek from Tengboche takes us to the small hamlet of Debuche. Overnight in Debuche.

Day06: Debuche (3,820m) – Dingboche (4,410m)

The Himalayan trail continues its ascending run as we head out of Debuche making our way through lush green forests. Passing the vibrant hamlet of Pangboche, the journey reaches Imja River beyond which lies the hamlet of Dingboche. The trail is blessed with the stunning views of Ama Dablam (6,856m) and Thamserku (6,608m) among others. Dingboche, also called as “summer valley”, boasts of traditional Sherpa settlements. Overnight in Dingboche.

Day07: Dingboche Ri (5,075m)

The final of our acclimatization days today we make our way towards the summit of Dingboche Ri located at an altitude of 5,075m. The trail takes us to the edge of the Chhukung Valley as we ascend through the rugged Himalayan trail steering clear of the steep ascents and descents. The summit gives us clear views of Lobuche East (6119m), Kangtega (6685m), Taboche Peak (6367m), Thamserku (6608m), and Ama Dablam (6856m). Enjoying the pleasant views from the summit, we make our way back to Dingboche. Overnight in Dingboche.

Day08: Dingboche (4,410m) – Lobuche (4,920m)

Heading out of Dingboche the rugged Himalayan landscape slowly climbs through the snowy landscapes reaching Dughla. With the majestic views of the Himalayas the trail takes us to the village of Pheriche. From here, we make an ascending journey towards Chupki Lahara. Hereon, we descend through the glacial moraine of Khumbu Glacier all while enjoying the stunning views of Pumo ri and Mahalangur Himalayan ranges. Crossing the glacial pathways brings us to Lobuche on the foothills of Mt. Nuptse (7,861m). Overnight in Lobuche.

Day09: Lobuche (4,920m) – Kalapatthar (5,545m) – Gorakshep (5,140m)

The day begins early as we make our way towards Kalapatthar. The views of the Himalayas from Kalapatthar is the highlight of the trip and not one to be missed. Gradually ascending through the rocky Himalayan landscape, the journey takes us through a dry lake before beginning the ascent to the viewpoint. The mesmerizing Himalayan panorama accommodating some of the world’s tallest Himalayas are put on display and safe to say it doesn’t disappoint. The views of sunset are something else altogether as the light slowly fades out until just the summit of Mt. Everest (8,848m) is colored golden. Overnight in Gorakshep.

Day10: Gorakshep (5,140m) – Everest Base Camp (5,364m) – Lobuche (4,920m)

Today, we head over to Everest Base Camp another one of the major events of our entire trip. Trekking on the glacial moraines, the trail steadily climbs towards the base camp. After a couple of hours of climbing, the trail finally leaves us at the foot of the world’s tallest mountain. Here, we explore the base cap and marvel at the views of the Khumbu Glacier, Icefall, and numerous mountains neighboring the Mt. Everest (8848m). After enjoying the thrill and adventure the Himalayas bring we make our way back to Lobuche. Overnight in Lobuche.

Day11: Lobuche (4,920m) – Pangboche (3,860m)

Today marks the beginning of our descent as we head down towards Pangboche. With the Himalayas to our backs, the landscape take a complete turn as we leave behind the snowy pathways in favor of the Hilly landscape. Crossing the bridge at Dughla, the journey heads through the Khumbu valley. Crossing the vibrant hamlet of Pheriche after a brief rest the trail the journey comes to its closing steps reaching Pangboche. Overnight in Pheriche.

Day12: Pangboche (3,860m) – Monjo (2,835m)

Heading out of Pangboche, we cross the river before beginning our uphill climb through the lush green forests. The trek takes us back to the hamlet of Tengboche before descending back heading towards Namche. Before Namche, the trail takes us on an ascending route continuing through pleasant landscapes. After a brief stop at Namche we, once again, descend through the lovely Sagarmatha National Park. Crossing the suspension bridge, we head over to Monjo exiting the national park in process. Overnight in Monjo.

Day13: Monjo (2,835m) – Lukla (2,840m)

The final day of our trek today we head back towards Lukla. The trek is an easy one descending through hilly ridges surrounded by lush green forests. The hamlets are quite lively and Sherpa inhabitants dominate most of the trail. Crossing the hamlets of Bengkar, Phakding, and Chhuthawa in quick succession, we reach our final ascend leading to Lukla. Overnight in Lukla.

Day14: Lukla – Kathmandu (1,300m)

The day begins early as flights out of Lukla are carried out early in the morning, if the weather is fine. Taking off from the Lukla airstrip gives us a sense of completing our journey while also giving one final glance at the Himalayas. Back at Kathmandu we directly head to the hotel freshening up from the days of the travel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day15: Kathmandu – Onward Destination

Our representatives will once again drop you back at Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight back home. We hope you had a lovely time with us and we look forwards to seeing you again.
