Kathmandu Manang Motorcycle Tour Brief Insight

The Kathmandu Manang Motorcycle Tour takes us right to the northern border of Nepal from where several ancient trading routes to Tibet emerged. The journey gradually eases along the central Nepal highways to take a rather difficult trail to the northern skirts of the Annapurna region. The Kathmandu Manang Motorcycle Tour explores the Tibetan-Buddhist villages and settles at Manang Valley for further exploration. The trip culminates at Tilicho Lake where the panorama of Annapurna and Nilgiri Himalayas decorate the environs.

Brief Trip Description

Our journey kicks off in the Kathmandu Valley as we head out of the city along the Prithvi Highway. Alongside the banks of the Trishuli River, we journey towards the town of Besisahar for our first day on the go. Entering the lush green forests filled with pine, oak, and rhododendron trees, the journey heads to Chame before entering the stunning Manang Valley the next day.

This brings a complete change in the landscapes as well as the culture of the locals. The entire valley of Manang is inhabited by the Manangi populace that has resided in the place for decades. The valley used to have a King of its own. And till date, people regard the royal family of Manang with the utmost respect.

The ancient monasteries and the prevailing traditions are a joy to witness. We head to Tilicho Base Camp the next day. The trail takes us on a lovely trek all the way up to the stunning Tilicho Lake. Located at an altitude of 4,920 meters, the icy shores of the glacial lake have enchanted trekkers for decades. We make our way back to Khangsar and then onto Timing. We are once again greeted by the easy routes and lush green forests. The final stretch of our journey takes us back to Besisahar.
