At an altitude of 1,592 meters, Sarangkot is also the best hotspot for paragliding in the country. There are two ways you can paraglide at Sarangkot; Tandem paragliding and paragliding on your own. On a Tandem paragliding flight, you will be in the company of an experienced pilot during the flight.
On a solo flight, you are the only one jumping off from the jump-point and roaming the skies. Similarly, the price of paragliding varies according to the duration of the flight. The first is a standard 30-minute flight, which costs around $75 whereas the cross-country flight is 40-60 minutes long and costs around $110. You can also get a 5-minute GoPro footage for around $17. After relishing the sceneries and views of the Himalayas to your heart’s content, you land at Lakeside in Pokhara. Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the best seasons for paragliding.

Paragliding Start
The day begins with a 45-minute drive from Pokhara to Sarangkot. You can explore the village of Sarangkot in the morning and witness the sunrise. When you are done enjoying the sceneries from the hilltop, you head to the paragliding jump-point. You can choose the flight as per your qualifications and preferences. The duration of the flight will depend upon the package of your choosing. After witnessing the mind-blowing views of the valleys, hills, and the far-away Himalayas, the paragliding ends at the lakeside of the Phewa Lake.
