Mt Manaslu base camp trek is done in the elevation of 8,163. It is the eight world’s highest peak in the world and it is also known for the spirit of Himalayas. It lies in the district of Gorkha between the Langtang valley and  Annapurna mountain. They’re also two different ways of exploring the region of Manaslu the Manaslu circuit trek via Tsum valley trek and Manaslu base camp trek. Depending on your interest and time schedule, your package will be confirmed as per your availability. 

Our Manaslu trek will be done for the 16 days that cost will be as per person. In the same way, if you wanted to add Tsum valley to you trekking to Manaslu trek then it will be better for you to explore the most interesting destination.

Manaslu base camp trek  permit Cost

As you are trekking to the most adventurous place you have to clear your permit cost.N. The permit of this region is taken as per the costing system of TAAN. This is the official trekking permit as per the rules of the TAAN.
Starting from the month of September to November  the total costs as follows,

  • September – November
  • USD 100 per person/week
  • USD 15 per person/day (beyond 1 week)
  • December – August
  • USD 75 per person/week
  • USD 10 per person/day (beyond 1 week)

Costs of transportation for the Manaslu trek

Trekking to the Manaslu base camp for 16 days starts from Soti Khola. This is the small town in Arughat. This place is approximately 130 km in the northwest of the capital. You will get any flight because there is no flight from the capital city and Arughat. So you are only limited to the fun that packed private jeeps and local buses.

Porter costs for the Manaslu region trek

The porter’s costs are base on your desire and interest. If you are young then it will be completely fine not have any porter. However, it will no be a  bad idea to have one porter with you. This is why you can enjoy your trek without risk and burden. There is not any limitation of weight for the porters during the time of camping and noncamping trek. Only for the teahouses trek, there are absolute 22 kilos is set as a final limitation. The costs of the porters are between 20 to 25 USD per day.

Guide costs

The trek without a guide will not be interesting so it is a must. The guide will be experienced with licensed and can help at any time of your difficulty. There is also a rule implemented by the government of Nepal that two tourists one guide.

Talking about the costs of Guide, depending upon skill and their performance cost also varies. If they will be capable to speak your language then the costs may be double compared to the regular normal English speaking guide. It may range from USD 25 and 40 per day per person for a guide. The person with training and license will be USD 25. They can speak the English language and it is enough to communicate and easily known about the trail. You can even share your weights bags with them that must up  8 or 10 kg, not more than this. IN the same way, the rates of the average guide may charge between USD 30 and USD 40.

Food and Accommodation costs

The accommodation rates of the Annapurna and Langtang trek are negotiable in terms of room prices, whereas the accommodation costs of the Manaslu trek is fixed.   You don’t need to worry about the price of the food because it is as similar to another region of a country. The basic food and meals can be costs up to USD 25 to 30 per meal. So we recommend to carry extra money and it will help in case of insufficient food during the trek. This region may also not have a good accessible bank or ATM everwhere. Some of the areas in this region also accept foreign currency but give you a very low exchange rate.
